Carnivale costumes

Bolivia is famous for its beautiful Carnivale costumes. We had the opportunity to visit a museum with a display of these beautiful costumes. Something else. 

Pigs, pigs, pigs

There were domestic pigs everywhere, on the beach, on the paths, just everywhere. In one of ese photos, you can see one pig desperate to get past Kevin, another one is sunbaking and the last one is of Mum with all her babies. 

Hiking

We did quite a few walks to explore Inca ruins. quite often, we were walking through the well trodden pathways used for centuries.  

Traditional reed boats

We had a short journey on one of the traditional reed boats and had the chance to row it. 

Spectacular scenery

We took so many photos of the beautiful scenery. In one of these photos, you can see one of Bolivia's highest peaks in the back ground. 

Boat trip to Sun Island, the birthplace of the legendary Incas

We had two glorious days on this catamaran exploring Inca and pre Inca ruins as well as hiking. The scenery is just stunning. Again we were lucky to have sunny weather. There were heaps of young back packers. Our boat and when I say our boat, I mean it. We were the only passengers.
