Plaza de Mayo

We started our city tour in the central plaza, which is ringed by beautiful buildings of very different styles - Spanish, French. It is the central square where protests are staged and where the mothers of the "missing children" come each Thursday to walk around the square lamenting the disappearance of some 35,000 people, mainly children in the 1970s.
